Welcome to Lila Creative Play! We’re excited to have you here as we share ideas for nurturing play, creativity, and connection between children and their grown-ups.

Lila Creative Play was founded by two friends: a writer, theatre director, and home educator, and an actor, movement director, and drama tutor. When we became parents, we saw clear links between our creative work and the way children play. Even in the middle of parenting chaos, we noticed how children naturally engage with the world: through curiosity, big emotions, full-body movement, experimentation, and the joy of both repetition and discovery.

As parents, we know how easy it can be to finish the day feeling like you’ve missed out on quality time with your child. But we also know how wonderful it is to play with them—as equals, discovering and exploring together. Play isn’t just fun; it’s vital for a child’s emotional, social, and cognitive development, and it strengthens relationships.

So we created downloadable play packs to help parents and caregivers grab those moments of connection. Our packs are inspired by the creative arts and focus on creativity, playfulness, and exploration. They don’t require expensive equipment but are designed to inspire genuine adventures. Children can extend the activities in their own way, allowing for open-ended and imaginative play.

Our printable play packs for kids aged 3–6 are designed for adults and children to enjoy together. Each pack is worded so you can read it aloud, making it easy to dive into creative play without preparation.
